Grief Support
    Group Offered
    GriefShare, a seminar and support group for those experiencing grief and loss, is slated 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Mondays Feb. 24-April 7 at the Assembly of God Church.
    No child care is available. Attendees are invited to take a bag lunch.
    GriefShare features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery on videos. Some topics will be ‘‘The Uniqueness of Grief’’ and ‘‘Top Lessons of Grief.’’
    The registration fee is $15 for the workbook. Scholarships are available. The website is www.griefshare.org.

    Bagpipers Visit
    Sitka Fire Hall
    The public is invited to the Sitka Fire Hall 1-2 p.m. Feb. 22 to hear the Seattle Firefighters Pipes and Drums Bagpipers.

    NSRAA to Meet
    In Petersburg
    Northern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association Inc. will hold its annual board of directors meeting 9 a.m. both March 4 and 5 at the Petersburg Lutheran Church, 406 Excel Street/
in Petersburg, AK.
    Copies of the agenda will be available in the NSRAA office, on the website nsraa.org and on the two days of the meeting at the Petersburg Lutheran Church.  Meetings are open to the public.

     ANS to Meet
    Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 4 will meet 6:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at the ANB Founders Hall.
    All are invited to attend including those who are interested in runnign for Grand Camp delegate. Grand Camp will be held in October in Petersburg.

    The Sitka Convention and Visitors Bureau board of directors will hold its annual retreat 10 a.m. Feb. 22 at  the Pioneers Home Manager’s House.

    Quilt Guild
    Set to Meet,
    Hold Auction
    Ocean Wave Quilters guild will hold a business meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the Exhibit Room of Centennial Hall.
    Following the meeting at 7 p.m. will be the annual guild auction of small quilts and quilt-related items.  Both silent and out-cry auctions will be featured.  All of the proceeds go toward scholarships for high school seniors and the Sitka Fine Arts Camp.
    Refreshments will be served.

    No School at
    Baranof School
    There will be no classes held at Baranof Elementary School on Friday, Feb. 21 due to a teacher workday.
    No classes will be held on Feb. 27 and 28 for parent-teacher conferences.

    Keet Project
    Fair March 13
    The annual Keet Gooshi Heen Project Fair will be 6-7:30 p.m. March 13.  Students in grades 2-5, including home-school students, may enter any long-term project of their choosing in the fair.
    Set-up is Thursday, 1-3:30 p.m., in the school gym. The public is invited to view students’ projects on Thursday evening and again 8:15-10 a.m. Friday, March 14.
    Those who have questions about the project fair may call Himschoot in Room 26 at 966-1226 after 2:30 p.m.

TAP Class Set
A Training for Alcohol Professions class will be held 9 a.m. Feb. 22 at Westmark Sitka in the banquet room.
The class fulfills the State of Alaska education requirements for servers and sellers of beverage alcohol. Cost is $45 and ID cards required.
Those who have an expired TAM card less than 6 months expired may simply take the test. Cost is $45 and individuals must arrive by 8:30 a.m.
