Tot’s Gym Set

Tot’s gym will be at the Hames Center starting Aug. 17. Families are invited 8:15-10 a.m. Mondays and Fridays. The cost is $5. Toys will be set up. For more information go to www.hamescenter.org or call 747-5080.

 

Aerobic, Strength

Training on Tap

Those seeking guidance in getting fit can sign up for Aerobic and Strength Training 101 5-7 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Hames Center.

All are invited to join Alicia Haseltine PT, DPT, and Jessica Pyatt PT, DPT, OCS, to learn how to properly use weight machines, cardio equipment and design a workout plan. The cost is $5 for members and $13 for nonmembers.

Tribal Council Meets

The Sitka Tribe of Alaska Tribal Council will meet 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Sheet’ka Kwáan Naa Kahídi. The meeting is open to the public. For information, contact KathyHope Erickson, 747-7352

 

School Supplies

To Tribal Citizens

Sitka Tribe of Alaska will host its Backpack and School Supplies Distribution for those in kindergarten through 12th grades 4-7 p.m. Saturday,   Aug. 22, at Blatchley Middle-School. 

The program is designed for Tribal citizens and families. For more information contact 966-1350. 

 

Playground Closure

The west playground at Lower Moller is closed until further notice for repairs. City and Borough of Sitka Parks and Recreation department apologized for the inconvenience.
