SCDC Seeking

Sitka Community Development Corporation is seeking qualified homebuyers for its Sitka Community Land Trust program.

Applications are available online at www.sitkaafordablehousing.org. Prospective homebuyers must have AHFC HomeChoice certification.

Either a free eight-hour Home Buyer Education Class or a home-study course will be offered if classes are not available. Currently, no classes are scheduled for Sitka. For more information call 1-800-459-2921.

Homes will be built for local, limited-income households. They will be built to SCDC specifications with contractor funding or through the buyer’s construction loan, SCDC said.

When there is more than one qualified buyer, being longer on the list is an advantage. For more information about the CLT program, call 747-2860.
