The following calls were received by Sitka police by 8 a.m. today:
Nov. 28
A grocery store clerk signed a criminal trespass form against a customer.
Officers picked up a loaded Ruger 9mm handgun found in a ditch on Bahovec Street.
A woman said her daughter was throwing rocks and screaming at her and refusing to go to school. The girl was gone when officers arrived. They talked to her an hour later and she agreed not to threaten her mom again.
An ambulance was called for a woman having trouble breathing.
A caller complained a diesel truck spewed black smoke at him while he walked on HPR near Peterson Street.
At 2:33 p.m. a highly intoxicated man who was soaking wet was reported near Castle Hill.
Police are investigating a possible case of tampering with evidence.
A nonprofit organization said a theft over the weekend might have been captured on video.
An ambulance was called at 6:04 p.m. for a man who had fallen.
Lifeline asked for an ambulance for a woman who had fallen and triggered her alarm for help.
A teen with possible suicidal thoughts was taken to the hospital.

Chelsey R. Lyons, 22, was remanded Monday at the request of her probation officer.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 10:41 a.m., 1:39 p.m., 2:50 p.m., 3:29 p.m., 4:29 p.m., 4:46 p.m., 5:01 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 6:03 p.m., 6:05 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 9:40 p.m. and 11:16 p.m. Monday.
At 2:44 p.m. Monday two fire trucks were sent to Sweetland Hall on the SJ campus where oily rags caught fire in a dryer. Firefighters put out the fire with handheld extinguishers. The dryer was destroyed, and the room sustained water damage, the fire hall said.
At 9:58 a.m. today a fire truck was sent to Blatchley Middle School after someone pulled the fire alarm. There was no fire, the fire hall said.
In Court
Chelsey N. Lyons, 22, was ordered to serve three days of suspended time for violating probation.
Kyle R. Hansen, 30, was sentenced to seven days, suspended, and fined $2,500, with $1,000 suspended, for using unlawful methods to take game. He was fined $300 for unlawfully taking game by shooting across the highway. He will be on probation for a year, and may not have a license or accompany a licensed hunter for a year. Troopers said Hansen used a flashlight when he shot at a deer decoy near Harbor Mountain Road.
