Police were continuing their search today for Peter Krovina in connection with a home invasion Sunday in which a Sitka woman was shot in both legs with a high powered pistol.
Four other suspects in the case were arraigned Tuesday afternoon in the Sitka courthouse. All of them were ordered held on bail ranging from $2,500 to $1 million.
Police believe Krovina, 39, is still in Sitka. A warrant for $250,000 has been issued for his arrest on six felony counts.

“He’s being pursued and we’re asking the community if there are any sightings,” said Sitka Police Lt. Lance Ewers. “He is considered dangerous, so please don’t approach him.”
Police are continuing to follow up on leads.
“The police department is actively looking under very rock and every bush,” Ewers said.
Krovina, also known as “Tweaker Pete” or “Little Pete,” is described as 5-foot-4, and 140 pounds, with a shaved head and tattoo with the letter “P” on his throat. The “Wanted” poster issued for Krovina says he “is known primarily to dress in red clothing and might have altered his appearance with items such a fake mustache.”
Krovina is facing charges of assault in the first degree (involving a weapon), one count of assault in the second degree with intent of serious injury, one count of assault in the third degree (causing fear with a weapon), and two counts of burglary in the first degree. Magistrate Rachel Jones presided at the arraignments at the Sitka courthouse late Tuesday afternoon.
The charges are related to an incident that police described as “drug- and money-related” at 3302 Halibut Point Road Sunday afternoon.
The shooting victim, Jamie Kane, 28, told police that she and her boyfriend returned home from grocery shopping to find assailants lying in wait. She was forced into her home at gunpoint by Krovina. She said Christina Quintana accused her of stealing money and shot her once in each of her legs. Kane was medevacked to Providence Medical Center in Anchorage.
Quintana, 32, and Andrea Avalos, 22, both of Las Cruces, New Mexico, were each charged with assault in the first degree (two counts), assault in the second and third degrees, burglary in the first (two counts), and misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second and fourth degrees.
Bail was set at $1 million for Quintana and $500,000 for Avalos and they were remanded to the Sitka jail. Bail conditions are that they are not to have any contact with eight specified people or leave Sitka. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for 9 a.m. March 29.
Avalos and Quintana were taken into custody Monday in Crescent Harbor, where they had been hiding in an unattended boat. A fire department dive team searched under the boat but turned up no new evidence, the police department said.
A resident reported finding a backpack in a trash bin a block from where the shooting occurred, containing ammunition and a New Mexico identification that police believe are connected to the case.
In court Tuesday, others believed to be connected to the case were also charged, including:
– Porter Treadway, 35, who was arraigned on charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth and criminal mischief in the fifth degree. He was also charged with assault in the first degree involving a weapon, one count of assault in the second degree with intent of serious injury, assault in the third for causing fear with a weapon, and two counts of burglary in the first degree. His bail was set at $15,000 and next court appearance will be 9 a.m. March 29.
– Eric Morisky, 30, who was charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second and fourth degrees. He is named in the complaint as the person who purchased plane tickets that brought Quintana and Avalos to Sitka. His bail was set at $2,500 and his next court appearance is March 29.
