The following calls came in between 8 a.m. and 8 a.m. today.
May 18
A woman screaming in the post office parking lot was given a warning.
A tour bus and a truck collided at Lake and Lincoln. A driver was cited.
A man reportedly shoplifted a jacket from a Lincoln Street store.
A woman at a group home was reported yelling and talking to herself.
A black cat crawled into a car engine compartment at Crescent Harbor. The car owner took it to a shelter.
A caller said a driver appeared to be intoxicated, crossing lines on HPR. Officers found he hadn’t been drinking and he agreed to pay more attention.
A man flipping people off at Moller was left in the care of his son. The man wasn’t intoxicated, police said.
At 8:27 p.m. a caller said teens were seen carrying a girl in the 1200 block of Edgecumbe Drive.
At 10:42 p.m. two men were reported harassing customers at a store. They were given warnings and advised not to return for the night.
A seal bomb went off around 10:47 p.m. in the 3200 block of HPR.
May 19
A man said his legs were freezing up at the skate park. EMS was called.
At 3:41 a.m. a man leaving a noisy party that disturbed Moller Drive residents told police the party was over.
At 6:26 a.m. trespass warnings were served at ANB Harbor.
At 6:52 a.m. a man vomiting on Lincoln Street said he was fine.
A man passed out on a Burkhart Street porch was taken into custody.
At 10:19 a.m. a theft was reported at a marijuana store.
A caller said a male relative was creeping around her home, looking into windows and saying he could see her. He was gone when police arrived.
May 20
At 1:14 a.m. police picked up a deer carcass in the 4600 block of HPR.
A caller said people were in her driveway. A relative said she was detoxing and having hallucinations.
A man said his landlord was tampering with his air handling system in the 4600 block of HPR.
At 5:39 p.m. an assault was reported on Harbor Drive. The men said they were just horsing around.
A large brown bunny was seen in the 2200 block of HPR.
At 7:11 p.m. 911 caller said a vessel was low in the water at Thomsen.
At 7:55 p.m. a juvenile was reported to have thrown coffee on someone. Officers calmed the situation.
Sitka Police
Amanda Skultka, 31 was charged with violating conditions of release by allegedly consuming alcohol.
Crystal D. Brazell, 34, was arrested Friday on a charge of violating conditions of release for allegedly using a controlled substance.
Michael S. Giron, 47, was charged Friday with criminal mischief in the fifth degree.
Robert J. Cain, 56, was cited for having an open container in public.
Jordan L. Flaagan, 20, and Tamiika A. Moe, 20, were cited for being minors on a licensed premises.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department got ambulance calls at 1:19 p.m. Friday; 1:46 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday; and 5:56 a.m., 6:20 a.m., 1:31 p.m., 4:51 p.m. and 9:19 p.m. Sunday.
At 2:43 p.m. Friday a fire truck was sent to the Gary Paxton Industrial Park, but it was a false alarm.
At 3 p.m. Saturday the fire department responded to a report of a fuel smell on Alice Loop Road. A fuel valve was found open. Firefighters cleaned up a spill of 8-10 gallons of fuel and called the responsible party.
After 8 a.m. today a cat was reported in a tree on Wolff Drive. The call was referred to a tree limber company.
At around 8:30 a.m. today firefighters helped herd a duck and ducklings from a coffee shop drive-through to Swan Lake.
