LUTHERAN QUILTERS – Members of the Quilts for Comfort Group stand between pews draped with some of the 205 quilts they made, in the Sitka Lutheran Church Tuesday. The group made the quilts for five local non-profits and one in Anchorage. Traffic Delayed on
Harbor Mtn. Road
Motorists on Harbor Mountain Road may experience delays of up to 25 minutes because of maintenance, the Sitka Ranger District reports. Heavy equipment will be operating on the road through June 21.

Workshop Set
UAS-Sitka Campus will host an introduction to social media workshop for organizations and professionals 6-7 p.m. June 26.
Employees from the marketing, branding and advertising company Element Agency will lead the workshop.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Meets June 22
Fiber Friends will meet noon-2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Gus Adams room at Sitka Public Library.

Story Time Set

Sacred Harp Sing
Slated on June 23
The fourth Sunday Sacred Harp Sing will be 3:30-5 p.m. June 23 at the Pioneer Home Chapel.
All are invited to learn to sing four-part a cappella harmony in an American tradition dating hundreds of years. Beginners and listeners are welcome. Singing will be from the red Denson book, and loaner books are available. For information, call Sylvia at 747-3141.
