Alaska Wildlife Troopers are asking for information after they found dumped deer meat and trash on a popular beach access near Starrigavan River, on Saturday.
“Investigation revealed much of the meat was spoiled and had never been preserved for human consumption,” troopers said.
The approximately 100 pounds of meat and debris was creating a bear attraction hazard, troopers said, and was removed.
Those with information about the offense are asked to call wildlife troopers 907-747-3254. Anonymous tips may be provided through Alaska Fish and Wildlife Safeguard at 800-478-3377.
