O'Connell Bridge Inspection May 6-9; Delays Expected

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities will inspect the O’Connell Bridge Wednesday through Saturday, May 6-9, and motorists may experience single lane closures between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The inspections are part of the department’s biennial bridge inspection program to ensure the traveling public that the bridges in Alaska are safe to cross.
ADOT&PF asks that drivers be alert to flaggers, new traffic patterns, and heavy equipment and to use extreme caution when approaching and traveling through work zones.
