Cheryl Pearson

Service Jan. 23

A celebration of life for Cheryl Yasmine Pearson, 69, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Sitka Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall.

Those attending may take a dish to share for the potluck meal.

Cheryl, longtime librarian at Kettleson Memorial Library, passed away in Oro Valley, Arizona, on Jan. 11, 2016, due to influenza complications.

 

Tsunami, BMS

Wrestling Friday

Sitka Tsunami Wrestling Club and Blatchley Middle School wrestling team will hold matches 5-6:30 p.m. Friday at Blatchley Middle School.

The public is invited.

 

Gajaa Heen Dancers

Family Event Weds.

Gajaa Héen Dancers for sixth- through12th-graders will hold a Family Engagement Night 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at the Career Center, behind Pacific High School.

Family members of students are welcome to attend. Venison stew and fried bread will be served.

Frank O. Williams

Reception Jan. 20

ANB Camp 1 and ANS Camp 4 will host a reception on Wednesday, Jan. 20, after the gravesite service for Frank O. Williams Jr. at the ANB Founders Hall.  All are welcome to attend. Donations of salads and desserts are appreciated.

 

 

4-H to Meet

Chamber to Meet

Fred Reeder of Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska will present an overview of the 2016 cruise line calendar and discuss industry-related topics, including taxation and access, at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon noon Wednesday at Westmark Sitka.
