    Services have been scheduled for Sugie Johnson, who has been a Sitka resident since 1969.
    A memorial and cultural service will be 5:30 p.m. July 2 at Sheet’ka Kwaan Naa Kahidi. The funeral will be 4 p.m. July 3 at St. Michael’s Cathedral. Following graveside services at the Russian Orthodox cemetery, a reception will be held in St. Michael’s basement.
    Sugie died suddenly June 24, 2013, at the age of  54.
    She was born Aug. 27, 1958, in Juneau, the daughter of Agnes (Gamble) and Joseph C. Johnson Sr. The family moved to Sitka in 1969.
    She was a dietary aide and certified nurses aide, and dealt with short-term housing at SEARHC-Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital. She also was a transit city bus driver, and worked at Westmark.
    Sugie had an unconditional love for  her whole family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
    “Sugie went above and beyond for everybody and anybody,” her family said. “We are going to miss her fun personality and loving heart.”
    Sugie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Johnson Sr.; sisters Georgianna Chercasen, Cindy Johnson and Gina Sam; nephew Chuck Johnson; great-nephew Blake Ricaporte; and brothers-in-law Nick Chercasen and Tony Johnson Sr.
    She is survived by her mother, Agnes R. Johnson, Sitka; sisters Cheryl Duncan and Josephine Johnson of Sitka; brothers Joseph “Sonny” Johnson, Everette Johnson and Mike Johnson of Juneau, Henry and Jake Johnson of Sitka and Norman Johnson of Kent, Wash.; her daughters, Manda (Chuck) Miller and Sharon Sam of Sitka, and Isabelle and Tanya Sam of Juneau; son  Junior Sam of Wasilla; and her significant other of 17-1/2 years, Mark Davis, Sitka.
    Also surviving are the loves of her life, her grandchildren Jay, Michael, Edward and Naomi Miller, Ashley Douglas, Georgie Sam, Kayla, Danielle, James, Kiana and Angelo Sam, Cynthia, Peter and Anthony Sam; great-grandchildren Alina Miller and Damian Sam; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved with all her heart.
    Pallbearers will be Chuck Miller, John Ricaporte, Rex Platt, Ben Breece, Tom Gamble and Dwight Payton.
    Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Davis, Mark Davis, Bob Allen, Terry Peguese Jr., Phil Nielsen, John Duncan Sr. and George Bennett.
