Food Drive
Set Saturday
A stuff-the-truck Christmas in July food drive for Sitka Tribe of Alaska’s food pantry will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Sea Mart.
AAA Moving and Storage is sponsoring the semi-annual event.
Non-perishable food items and money can be donated.

Set for July 17
A music remembrance in celebration of Steve Warren will be hosted 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, in the main lounge of the Sitka Pioneers Home.

Summer Bounty
Snack Share Set
A celebration of the bounty produced by public lands and Sitka soil will be the focus of the event for youths organized by Sitka Conservation Society and Sitka 4-H 3-4 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Sitka Public Library.
Youths of all ages can taste handmade local snacks. Participants will also create recipe books to take home, and can drop by for any amount of time they’d like. Call Kevan at 747-7509 with questions.

Picnic on Friday
Sitkans Against Family Violence will host a community picnic noon-5 p.m. Friday, July 12, at the Halibut Point Recreation Area.

Fine Arts Camp
Performances Set
The Sitka Fine Arts Camp will host a high school camp showcase and visual art show 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, on the SJ Campus.
The visual art show will be at the Yaw Arts Center. Performances will take place around the campus.
Final performances also are being held at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday and Saturday at the Performing Arts Center.
The public is invited to attend.
Class of 1969
Reunion Listed
The Sitka High School class of 1969 will hold a reunion July 19-21 in Sitka.
A wildlife cruise will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, July 20. Extras seats are available for any Sitka High alums or community members who would like to participate. The fare for the cruise will be calculated according to the number of individuals who sail, with a maximum fare of $60.
Attendees should be at Crescent dock at 1:30 p.m. To sign up or for more information call Jan Love at 747-5608.
