Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
May 11
At 12:16 a.m. trespassing was reported at a Lake Street hotel.
At 4:18 a.m. a bear was reported getting into a dumpster in the 4800 block of HPR.
At 5:03 a.m. a dead deer was found in the 4800 block of HPR, near where the bear had been spotted. An officer took the carcass to the Alaska Raptor Center.
At 2:48 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.
At 5:11 police were asked to make a welfare check. No location was given in the police report.
At 6:57 p.m. a parking problem was reported at Eliason Harbor.
At 7:24 p.m. a protection order violation was reported on DeGroff Street.
At 8:14 p.m. a civil dispute arose on Smith Street.
At 8:19 p.m. a problem with a juvenile was reported on Price Street.
At 10:03 p.m. a domestic problem was reported in the 700 block of SMC.
May 12
At 12:05 a.m. an incidence of drunkenness was reported in the 400 block of Katlian Street.
At 1:07 a.m. a disturbance was reported at apartments in the 200 block of Lincoln Street. Some damage was reported but no one wished to press charges.
At 5:25 a.m. a noise complaint was called in from the 2100 block of HPR.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received seven ambulance calls Tuesday.
