The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

April 10

At 12:52 a.m. a trash can was  reported in the middle of the road in the 200 block of Harbor Drive. Police removed it.

At 6:39 a.m. a welfare check was requested on a man found sleeping in a car in the 700 block of HPR. Police found he was OK.

At 10:22 a.m. a dog was reported at large on Darrin Drive. It was taken inside.

A report of harassment from the office of children’s services is being investigated.

At 4:25 p.m. a groundskeeper at the Pioneers Home reported he had left his jacket on a bench while he worked and someone stole items out of it. Police opened a case on the matter and are checking a security camera.

At 10 p.m. security checks were made at downtown bars.

Sitka Fire Department received five ambulance calls Monday.
