Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.

April 9

A traffic accident with damage was reported at 4:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of HPR, when a driver hit a deer, killing it. Its remains were taken to the Raptor Center.

A welfare check was made in the 2200 block of HPR at 8:37 a.m.

An incident of drunkenness was reported in the 1200 block of SMC at 11:54 a.m.

At 1:41 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of Lake Street.

Police began an investigation of a report of a sex offense at 3:06 p.m.

A minor traffic accident was  reported at 3:12 p.m. at Monastery and SMC. A theft was reported in the 2800 block of HPR.

At 8:44 p.m. a report of criminal mischief involving a motorbike was reported on Burkhart Street.

April 10

Trespassing was reported in the 100 block of Lake Street at 5:24 a.m.

An incident of drunkenness was reported in the 200 block of Katlian at 9:16 a.m.

Welfare checks were made at 1:21 p.m. in the 2200 block of SMC, and at 1:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.

At 10 p.m. a disturbance was reported in the 2200 block of SMC.

April 11

At 6:11 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the 800 block of Lake Street.

A civil dispute was reported at 10:52 a.m. on Katlian Street.

Welfare checks were made at 12:11 p.m. on Sirstad Street, and at 4:57 p.m. at Crescent Harbor.

Disorderly conduct was reported on Spruce Street at 8:03 p.m.

 

Sitka Police

Zak D. Wass, 36, was charged  with assault in the second degree, domestic violence.

Joseph J. Williams, 44, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release.

Cedar Mayo, 31, was arrested on a charge of violating conditions of release.

 

Emergency  Calls

Sitka Fire Department received eight ambulance calls Friday, one on Saturday and three on Sunday.
