Police Blotter
Police received the following calls between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. today.
April 10
Suspicious activity was reported at 5:24 a.m. on Jeff Davis Street and 8:56 a.m. on Indian River Road.
Fireworks were reported on Lake Street at 8:34 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
April 11
Citizen contact reports were made at 12:35 a.m. at the industrial park, 4:27 p.m. in the 4900 block of HPR, and at 10:51 p.m. at the library.
At 8:06 p.m. fireworks were reported being set off on Seward Street.
April 12
Suspicious activity was reported at 3:48 a.m. on Smith Street; and 9:46 p.m. in the 2500 block of HPR.
A noise complaint came in at 10:34 a.m. from the 700 block of SMC.
A civil dispute was logged.
Parking problems were reported at an HPR trailer court and the Indian River trailhead parking lot.
April 13
A citizen contact call came in at 1:44 a.m. in the 800 block of SMC.
Sitka Police
George Hardison, 41, was charged with a fireworks violation, a second offense, on Saturday.
Ruger Parker, 19, was cited Saturday for not having proof of insurance.
Sean Climo, 20, was cited for speeding Sunday.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 2:53 p.m., 7:22 p.m. and 8:43 p.m. Saturday; 11:39 a.m. and 11:58 a.m. Sunday; and 1:13 a.m. today.
