Sitka Schools

Dear Editor: As a parent, it was pleasant to receive notice of student achievement and rebound from the past year of pandemic-hampered learning. 

Any parents who have followed their children all the way through Sitka schools know that the very best practices and most dedicated service by teachers and administrators is the norm here. Sitka’s children are resilient because cultivation of their strengths has been consistent through the years.

The quality of Sitka schools is exceptional, but not surprising. The list of teachers I thank in person every time I see any of them, is a very long list. They set the stage for our recovery over long years of service.
