The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

April 14

At 8:39 a.m. a theft of services was reported. Police found it was a verbal dispute, and a civil matter.

At 1:31 p.m. a caller reported finding a bunny rabbit on their property in the 500 block of Baranof Street.

A welfare check was requested at 5:12 p.m. at Jeff Davis Street and Lincoln Street.

At 5:40 p.m. a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of Katlian Street.

April 15

At 9:29 a.m. a dingy with an engine was found floating at Crescent Harbor. It was taken to the harbor master.

At 4:51 p.m. a caller reported seeing a vehicle hit a guard rail at Sandy Beach. Officers found no damage to the guard rail.

At 5:56 p.m. a report of drunkenness came in from a downtown bar.

At 9:57 p.m. a caller reported seeing a scary-looking vehicle, parked at the post office. Officers did not see such a  vehicle.

April 16

At 12:40 a.m. a bear was reported eating garbage on Granite Creek Road. It was gone when police arrived.

At 7:24 a.m. a caller reported an ATV driver had torn up grass and made a mess on the round-about at Edgecumbe Drive and Wachusetts. Police opened a case.

At 7:19 p.m. callers complained of loud music at a residence on  Cedar Beach Road. A resident was given a verbal warning, and told to turn down the volume of the music.

At 10:56 p.m. an institution reported a sexual assault. Police opened a case on the matter.

 

Sitka Police

Emily A. Iknokinok-Rodgers, 26, was charged today with driving under the influence.

Cheryl Neyman, 62, was charged Sunday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.

Thaddeus J. Krolicki III, 28, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence.

Joseph J. Williams, 46, was charged Saturday with trespassing in the second degree.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Friday, none on Saturday, and three on Sunday, along with a fire alarm caused by a sprinkler malfunctioning.
