Sitka Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

At 2:56 a.m. a large bear was reported to have been in the Indian River Subdivision, scattering trash.
At 9:23 a.m. people were reported doing archery practice in the Kimsham ball fields. An officer told them to stop.
A patient was reported threatening medical staff. Police investigated and found no crime had been committed.
At 8 p.m. a dead deer was reported by the side of the road in the 1300 block of HPR. When officers arrived, Sitka Tribe of Alaska was retrieving the remains.
At 8:10 p.m. a caller said men were loitering near the Pioneer Home. An officer talked with the men and found no issues.
Between 9:16 p.m. and 10:53 p.m. officers did security checks at Starrigavan, Keet Gooshi Heen, and the 1800 block of HPR.
Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Monday.
