    Sitka police logged the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
April 23
    At 12:04 p.m. a caller said a woman who had damaged her property the previous day had said her husband would fix it that day, but he hadn’t shown up. While an officer was on scene the husband showed up.
    A caller said several items were missing from his storage.
    A caller said a 1996 Ford had been parked with a flat tire in a lot at 1302 SMC for more than a week. The registered owner said he’d sold the car and dispatch was unable to contact the new one.
    A caller said it appeared a woman had left a store without paying for an item. With the woman’s permission, the caller looked in the woman’s purse and found a Slime Egg. The woman apologized for the mistake.
    A bank reported having a counterfeit bill.
    At 7:09 p.m. a caller reported  a woman was ill on Kasiana Island. She was taken to a hospital.
    At 9:45 p.m. a 911 caller said an intoxicated fare had fallen going up his porch and was unable to stand back up. He was taken to a hospital.
    April 24
    At 1:41 a.m. an officer checked out an unoccupied vehicle by the net shed at 500 Lincoln Street, and found two men sleeping in the shed. They were told they couldn’t sleep there, and advised of other options.

Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department received six ambulance calls Tuesday, and one at 1:22 a.m. today.

In Court
    Michael D. Barnes, 41, was found guilty of assault in the fourth degree, reckless injury, in a February 2018 case, and sentenced to 90 days with 85 suspended. He is to be on probation for a year.
    Yolanda U. Snively, 39, was found guilty of assault in the fourth degree, causing fear of injury, in a February 2018 case. She was sentenced to 30 days, with 29 suspended, and placed on probation for one year.
    Glen Roland James, 28, was found guilty on an October 2018 charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree, a class C felony. He was sentenced to 18 months.A charge of criminal trespass in the second degree, upon premises, was dismissed in a plea agreement in another case. Three cases of violating conditions of release also were dismissed.
    Justin Seth Eberhard, 45, on six Fish and Game charges of commercial fishing violations was fined a total of $1,300 and placed on probation for one year. He is to pay outstanding fish taxes by March 8, 2020. Eighteen charges of commercial fishing violations were dismissed.
    Ricky Alden Armstrong, 48, on a November 2018 charge of assault in the fourth degree, recklessly injure, pleaded not guilty and was convicted in a jury trial of harassment in the second degree, offensive physical contact, non domestic violence. He was sentenced to 10 days, suspended, fined $500 and ordered to complete treatment. He will be on probation for one year.
    Joseph Paul Webb, 34, of Stanwood, Washington, was found guilty of driving without a valid operators license, and fined $300.
