Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
April 29
At 1:21 a.m. a stalking order was logged in the 1300 block of SMC.
At 7:28 a.m. a harassment report was logged at the police station.
Citizen contact was made in the 300 block of HPR at 11:06 a.m.
At 12:49 p.m. a family fight was reported at an Indian River residence.
A report of a theft on Cannon Island was logged at 1:20 p.m.
At 2:44 p.m. a parking problem was reported at Crescent Harbor.
A civil dispute arose in the 1600 block of SMC at 2:50 p.m.
At 4:23 p.m. an animal problem was reported on Back Beach.
At 8:50 p.m. a protective order on Sirstad Street was logged.
April 30
At 2:13 a.m. an animal call was logged in the 1300 block of HPR.
Sitka Police
Joshua Wehnes, 32, was charged Thursday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
David Skultka, 38, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear.
Justin Osbakken, 30, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call Thursday.
In Court
Kevin Joseph David, 20, on a charge of driving under the influence was sentenced to 30 days with 27 suspended and fined $1,500. He is to receive a behavioral health assessment and follow recommendations. His license was revoked for 90 days, and after regaining driving privileges he is to use an ignition interlock device for six months. He was placed on probation for one year.
Arnold S. Wilkin, 58, on misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass in the second degree (vehicle) and violating conditions of release was sentenced to 10 days, suspended. He was placed on probation for one year.
