Baseball Clinic Thanks
Dear Editor: Thanks to all of those who dedicated so much time and effort to organizing and coaching at the youth baseball clinics this spring! We had a good turnout of about 53 boys and girls ages 8-12 for both clinics. All proceeds went to Sitka Little League. There were so many who volunteered their time and energy to make it happen. I know I will miss a few names.
Special thanks to Dan Stockel, Brian Hanson, Ed Conway, Amy Kramer Johnson, Ryne Calhoun, Kenny Carley, Chip Lewin, The Sitka Little League Board, Kat Richards and Karen Case, many of the current Sitka Wolves High school baseball team, who took time out of their prom preparations this Saturday to help the next generation of state champions. Thanks, Erikson Fish and Kai Stockel, for all your help with the infield camp last month. You were great at the hitting camp as well. Good luck to you and your Wolves! And thanks to the parents and the kids who are catching the baseball bug and want to help ensure Sitka’s ball players are fundamentally sound both on and off the field.
