
Arch B. Hammett III
Arch B. Hammett III passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was 74.
Arch was born on December 12, 1946, in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nina Kathyrn Hammett and Arch B Hammett Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Yuberka Rosario; his children, Dawn Lyman, Tammy Frugé, Robert Hammett, Paul Swanson, and Yudely Mejia; his sisters Marjorie Corner and Kathyrn Gordon; and 16 grandchildren.
After spending his early years in West Virginia, Arch spent most of his childhood in Alaska before joining the U.S. Air Force at age 18. He was stationed in South Korea.
After the military, Arch joined the Washington County Sheriff’s Department in Marietta, Ohio, where he remained for seven years.
The next phase of his life took Arch and his family to Florida, then Houston, Texas, where he worked and lived for almost 30 years. Arch retired from First Data in 2013 and relocated to the Dominican Republic where he remarried and enjoyed his last years.
Services were held in a private ceremony in Nagua, Dominican Republic.
