Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:

August 14

A disturbance was reported on Burkhart Street at 1:10 a.m.

At 2:34 a.m. disorderly conduct was reported at Totem Square.

A welfare check was requested on DeGroff Street at 10:51 a.m.

At 9:05 p.m. a disturbance was reported on Cedar Beach Road.

At 10:14 p.m. a caller reported suspicious activity on Andrews Street.

A disturbance was reported at 10:31 p.m. on Kramer Avenue.

Citizen contact was reported at the skate park at 11:15 p.m.

August 15

A bear was reported at 1810 Edgecumbe Drive at 12:30 a.m.

At 12:36 p.m. a disturbance was reported at a downtown bar.

At 1:55 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on Georgeson Loop.

A facility reported a sexual assault.

Citizen assist calls were logged at SMC and Lake Street at 1:09 p.m.; and in the 1100 block of Seward Avenue at 1:30 p.m.

A drunkenness incident was reported at 6:19 a.m. at Totem Square.

A welfare check was requested on Hollywood Way at 9:30 p.m.

At 10:48 p.m. a disturbance was reported in the 300 block of Lincoln Street.

Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.

August 16

At 1:53 p.m. a downtown bar reported a disturbance.

At 3:43 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the 2800 block of HPR.

At 11:50 a.m. suspicious activity was reported in the area of the post office.

A drug violation report on Davidoff was logged.

At 8:39 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 1200 block of HPR.

At 9:59 p.m. suspicious activity was reported on Georgeson Loop.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call Friday, six on Saturday, one Sunday, and one early this morning.

 

An engine was sent at 4:30 p.m. to 200 Flume Circle where burning food had caused alarm but no fire.
