Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:

August 18

At 1:50 a.m. a downtown bar reported a disturbance.

At 3:50 a.m. a case of drunkenness was reported at a downtown bar.

At 4:29 a.m. a bear was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.

A case of fraud was reported.

A welfare check was requested at 2:58 p.m.

At 5:14 p.m. a civil dispute was reported.

At 8:58 p.m. a vehicle hit a parked vehicle near the Lincoln-Lake streets traffic light. Some damage resulted.

At 11:34 p.m. criminal mischief was reported in the 200 block of Katlian Street.

August 19

At 12:11 a.m. a bear was reported on Charlie Joseph Street.

At 3:41 a.m. a disturbance was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.

Sitka Police

Brendan Jacobs, 34, was charged Tuesday with violating conditions of release.

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received a fire alarm at 1:02 p.m., but there was no fire.
