Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

August 23

At 10:43 a.m. a caller reported an issue with neighbors. An officer advised the caller of options.

At 11 a.m. a caller reported being locked out of her vehicle at Mosquito Cove, but then said the door was unlocked.

At 11:22 a.m. officers checked on a caller who was having a breathing problem, but she declined assistance.

Two people drinking and being loud were trespassed from the Crescent Harbor shelter.

At 4:45 p.m. a woman said a driver had followed her from work to her home, where he’d gotten out of his vehicle and yelled at her, then left.

At 7:27 p.m. a caller asked for a welfare check on her mom. Officers found the mom was OK, but her phone was broken.

At 8:23 p.m. a caller reported a four-wheeler was being driven on Lance Drive. An officer talked to teens, who said they’d been test driving the four-wheeler, and would stop.

At 8:52 p.m. a caller on Cathedral Way  complained of noise nearby.

At 9:17 p.m. a bear was reported at Monastery Street and Arrowhead Street, and at 11 p.m. one was reported in the 700 block of Lake Street.

At 9:53 p.m. a resident on Peterson Avenue was cited for having a bear attraction.

August 24

Citations for having a bear attraction were issued at 12:06 a.m. on Lance Drive; at 12:09 a.m. on Baranof Street; at 12:48 a.m. and 12:18 a.m. on Molly Lane; at 2:08 on Lance Drive; at 3:24 a.m.  and 3:32 a.m. on Cascade Creek Road; and at 3:29 a.m. on Dodge Circle.

A bear call came in at 1:11 a.m. from Biorka and Park streets.

At 6:02 a.m. the court asked officers to serve a stalking order.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 7:27 a.m., 11:34 a.m., 11:48 a.m., 1:45 p.m., 4:42 p.m. and 6:27 p.m. Monday.

At 8:34 a.m. today a fire alarm sounded but there was no fire.
