Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
August 25
At 10:35 a.m. a woman was reported yelling, in the 400 block of Lake Street. The dispatcher talked to her and she agreed to be quieter.
A woman reported her vehicle had been hit sometime between about 8 a.m. and noon while parked on Japonski Island. The back of the sedan had been damaged, with the window broken.
A wallet found at Whale Park was to be picked up by the owner.
A driver reported being cut off by a taxi at SMC and Jeff Davis.
A ferret running at large in the 2800 block of SMC was taken to the animal shelter.
At 4:12 p.m. an intoxicated man was reported needing help in the 1200 block of SMC. A taxi was called for him.
A woman talked to police about a child custody issue.
At 8:24 Anchorage police asked that a death notice be delivered to next of kin in Sitka.

Samantha Losselyong, 32, was charged Thursday with assault in the fourth degree.
Jeremy Elam, 53, was charged Thursday with driving under the influence.
