Police received the following calls between 8 a.m. Friday and of 8 a.m. today:

July 31

Suspicious activity at the ANB Harbor parking lot was reported at 2:30 a.m.

At 7:07 a.m. a caller reported a bear in the 1200 block of HPR.

An assault on Indian River Road was reported at 8:26 a.m.

A case of trespassing at a downtown hotel was logged.

At 12:17 p.m. a disturbance was reported at the library.

Trespassing was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street at 6:32 p.m.

A bike was reported stolen at Sea Mart at 7:05 p.m.

Suspicious activity was reported in the 800 block of Lincoln Street at 8:33 p.m.

Citizen contact was made on the Herring Cove Road at 11:38 p.m.

August 1

A traffic stop was made at Sandy Beach at 12:41 a.m.

Citizen contact was made at 2:52 a.m. at Indian River Bridge.

At 7:37 a.m. a bear was reported on Dodge Circle.

A drunkenness issue at Crescent Harbor was reported at 12:54 p.m.

At 3 p.m. suspicious activity was reported on Kaagwaantaan Street.

A downtown store reported a theft at 3:42 p.m.

Domestic problems were reported at Eliason Harbor at 9:50 p.m. and in the 900 block of HPR at 10 p.m.

August 2

At 1:49 a.m. a bear was reported on Dodge Circle.

A civil dispute was reported on DeGroff Street at 2:19 p.m.

A welfare check was made at Sealing Cove at 2:43 p.m.

At 4 p.m. a domestic problem was reported on DeGroff Street.

At 4:24 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Lake Street.

A report of drunkenness was reported at the Indian River bridge at 4:44 p.m.

Disturbances were reported in the 2900 block of HPR at 8 p.m. and at  the National Park visitor center at 8:47 p.m.

August 3

Noise complaints came in at the skate park at 12:01 a.m. and 909 HPR at 12:34 a.m.

At 12:37 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on Katlian Street.

At 2:27 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on Anna Drive.

At 4:30 a.m. a caller reported a bear on Indian River Road.

 

Sitka Police

Oleana Valley, 21, was arrested on a Juneau warrant for failure to appear in court.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received six ambulance calls Friday, four on Saturday and four on Sunday.

At 8 p.m. Friday an engine was sent to the l600 block of Indian River Road on a report of fireworks causing a fire. The engine was back at the station at 8:18 p.m.

 

Divorces

The following couples were granted divorces in July: Joni Caroline Ulricksen-Duffield and Darin Dean Duffield Sr.; Blake Myles Ricketts Sr. and Mary Alice (Abbott) Ricketts; Tiffany Marie (Albertson) Johnson and Brandon Wilson Larry Johnson; and Jill E. Williams and Ronald Reda.

Kaycie Brianna (Dodson) Carter and Levi Daniel Carter were granted a divorce in June.

 

Marriages

The following couples applied for marriage licenses in July: Ralph George Fenner and Susan Jean Arthur; Matthew Allen Fiske and Lisa Marie Antonio; Robert Gerald Kaylor and Phatchara Saetiao; Matthew Darren Phillips and Jessica Lynn Scouller; and Frederick Otilius Olsen Jr. and Blossom Juliana Twitchell.

 

Michael Aldan Cross and Megan McKellar Phillips applied in June.
