Police Blotter
Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
August 30
At 12:13 a.m. a man was reported lying on the ground near O’Connell Bridge. Officers responded and the man was taken to the hospital.
At 7:50 a.m. a drone was reported seen in traffic in the 700 block of HPR.
At 8:09 a.m. vehicles were reported parked on the sidewalk in the 400 block of Baranof Street.
At 9:15 a.m. vandalism was reported done to sidewalk at Baranof Street and SMC. A company asked the damage be documented, but declined to press charges.
Police contacted the owners of five vehicles parked in the 200 block of Lincoln Street and told them to move the vehicles to avoid barnacling.
A caller complained of debris in a yard on Lake Street. Police were to check out the situation and notify the proper agencies if there were ordinance violations.
At 12:25 p.m. a caller said the driver of a Mustang had spun tires at Lincoln Street and Harbor Drive. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
Officers served a summons at a residence.
A caller reported a hit and run in the 700 block of HPR. Police found the accused driver hadn’t known a vehicle had been hit. Damage was minor, and the drivers were given self-report forms.
A woman reported being stalked. Officers advised her of her options.
At 7:09 p.m. a man and a woman were reported arguing at Lake and Lincoln streets. They were gone when officers arrived.
At 8:45 p.m. a downtown bar reported a man was refusing to leave. After police arrived he paid his tab and left.
August 31
At 12:39 a.m. a caller reported three of his car tires had been slashed, on Naomi Kanosh Lane.
At 1:08 a.m. two males and a female were given a disorderly conduct warning and told to leave the skate park.

Sitka Fire Department responded to six ambulance calls and one false alarm fire call Tuesday.
