Buoys & Art Auction
Dear Editor: Brave Heart Volunteers recently held our fourth annual Buoys & Art Online Auction, which raised over $16,000! We would like to thank the many bidders, artists, and businesses who helped make our fundraiser a success.
First, thank you to the artists who shared their time, talent, and materials to create such amazing works of art: Emma Bruhl, Sandra Butler, Norman Campbell, Ruth Culp, Laura Kaltenstein, Pat Kehoe, Zosha Krupa, Mary Lindon, Dorothy Olsen, Shelby Oredson, DJ Robidou, Robert Rose, Tim Ryan, Ellie Schmidt, Victoria Smith, Libby Stortz, Allie Spurlock, Amy Sweeney.
The auction simply would not happen without their generosity and we cannot thank them enough.
A special thanks goes to Russell’s and Alaska Pure Sea Salt, who shared prized store space to display buoys for us this summer. We also appreciate Pat Kehoe and the Island Artists Gallery for exhibiting the artwork during the week of the auction, including a special after-hours showing, with live music by Pointy & the Birds Ukelele Group and refreshments donated by Sea Mart. Thank you!
