Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:

August 4

At 1:48 a.m. suspicious activity was reported at the Russian Bishop’s House.

At 5:12 a.m. a citizen assist was requested on Jarvis Street.

Citizen contact was logged at 10:26 a.m in the 200 block of Marine Street.

A traffic complaint on Lance Drive was reported at 3:52 p.m.

A hit and run was reported at the airport long-term parking area.

At 6:08 p.m. a traffic complaint was reported on Rands Drive.

Welfare checks were made in the 400 block of Lake Street and Bahovec Court.

August 5

At 5:35 a.m. in the 400 block of Lake Street.

An alcohol violation was reported at 6:09 a.m. in the 400 block of HPR.

At 6:18 a.m. a bear was reported at 100 Indian River Road.

A welfare check was requested at Sealing Cove at 6:29 a.m.

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 2:40 a.m., 6:56 a.m., 9:26 p.m. Tuesday, and 2:38 a.m. today.
