Police received the following calls between 8 a.m. Friday and of 8 a.m. today:
August 5
At 5:35 a.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Lake Street.
An alcohol violation was reported at 6:09 a.m. in the 400 block of HPR.
At 6:18 a.m. a bear was reported at 100 Indian River Road.
A welfare check was requested at Sealing Cove at 6:29 a.m.
At 7:58 a.m. a citizen assist was requested in the 1300 block of SMC.
At 8:44 a.m. a public relations matter arose in the 500 block of Baranof Street.
A traffic complaint was logged on Granite Creek Road at 9:23 a.m.
A civil dispute arose at 2:48 p.m.
At 4:05 p.m. a caller complained of a parking problem in the 200 block of Katlian Street.
Citizen contact was made at Sealing Cove at 4:56 p.m.
August 6
At 1:24 a.m. a bear was reported on Tilson Street.
Sitka Police
Adam Avila, 44, was charged Wednesday with probation violations.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received an ambulance call at 12:24 a.m. Wednesday.
