Braves Again Beat Redington

In a repeat performance, the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves basketball teams again defeated the Redington Huskies, Thursday night on Japonski Island. The Edgecumbe boys won 79-43, while the Lady Braves earned a 56-14 victory against their Eastern Conference rivals. MEHS also had scored twin victories against Redington on Wednesday.

In the 1A small schools tournament, also Thursday at MEHS, Angoon’s girls team felled Skagway 59-34; and Klawock’s girls squad beat Hoonah 45-33. On the boys’ side, Yakutat fell to Kake 61-41 and Klawock pushed past Skagway 55-48.

The tournament continues today through Saturday.
