Dear Editor: On behalf of the Sitka Economic Development Association (SEDA), thank you to everyone who celebrated Alaska Day at our 10th Annual Brewfest and Chili Cook-Off. As a nonprofit, SEDA relies on community support to strengthen our economy and improve the quality of life for all Sitkans.
Congratulations to Marty Emerson, this year’s Judge’s Choice Chili Champion, and thanks to every cook who brought their best recipes to share, and to chili judges Edith and Renee, for taking on the toughest job of the day.
Thank you to the breweries and distributors who brought outstanding beer to Sitka: Harbor Mountain Brewing, Midnight Sun Brewing, Denali Brewing, Alaskan Brewing, King Street Brewing, Matanuska Brewing, Alaska Ciderworks and Glacier Brewhouse, and to RNDC and Odom Corporation for their donations and for getting it here.
