Dear Editor: On behalf of Blatchley Middle School, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to three generous local businesses for their support of the eighth grade end-of-year picnic: AC Lakeside Grocery Store, Island View Resort & Charters and Sitka Charter Fleet.

Thanks to the donation of delicious food from AC Lakeside, Island View Resort & Charters and Sitka Charter Fleet, our students were able to celebrate the end of their middle school years with joy, fun, and a deep appreciation for our beautiful community and surroundings.

These businesses helped create lasting memories for our students, and their kindness is a shining example of the community spirit that makes Sitka such a special place to grow up.
