Connie Thaler Dies in Minn.; Former Resident was Age 66

Connie Rae (Christoffel) Thaler

Former Sitkan Connie Thaler, of Gilman, Minnesota, achieved her final reward July 19, 2021. She was 66.

Connie Rae Christoffel was born in Sitka on August 2, 1954, the daughter of Clement and Frances Christoffel.

After graduating from Sitka High School in 1972 Connie moved to Spokane, Washington, where she attended Spokane Business College.

On August 25, 1990, Connie and Robert Thaler were united in marriage at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Slayton, Minnesota.

Connie’s true passion in life was her family, and she enjoyed her self-proclaimed occupation as a Domestic Zoo Keeper.

Connie is survived by her husband Robert; sons Avery and Austin of the Gilman area; and siblings Clay (Jeanette) Christoffel of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Mary (Jerry)  Helem of Sitka, and Ron Christoffel of Moore, Oklahoma.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard.
