Candlelight Vigils
Dear Editor: Along with families across the country the teachers represented by the Sitka Education Association grieve for the losses suffered last week in Connecticut. We would like to invite our retired colleagues, and our current colleagues in the Sitka Education Support Professionals Association, Mt. Edgecumbe High School and Sitka School District administration to join us for a candlelight vigil to be held at the Crescent Harbor shelter at 4:30 p.m. this Friday in conjunction with the candlelight vigil for our homeless across our nation. We invite community members, including our students, to bring a candle and join us. Thank you.
