Police Blotter
Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
December 11
A resident reported a domestic violence incident on Thanksgiving.
The ACO picked up three cats abandoned on DeArmond Street.
At 12:19 p.m. a rear-end collision was reported at Sitka High.
At 1:30 p.m. a Cascade Creek resident reported ravens getting into garbage in the back of a truck. Police left a message for the truck owner.
An ambulance was called for a man having a seizure. A firearm he possessed was secured.
At 7 p.m. a caller said he saw a man in a ditch on SMC. He later got up and moved on.
At 8:40 p.m. a caller said and intoxicated man tried to start a fight with her and her boyfriend at Eliason Harbor but it didn’t become physical, The man was escorted to his boat and the parties went their separate ways.
December 12
At 2:10 a.m. a man sleeping in a van turned out to be sober. He went home.
At 5:30 a.m. a security guard for a business reported suspicious activity by a driver on the property, and was concerned about possible thefts.
In Court
Gregory A. Gross, 61, was given probation for a year on a charge of harassment in the first degree. He was charged after he spit in a store clerk’s face, on Sept. 16, court records said.

Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 1:08 p.m., 3:27 p.m. and 6:29 p.m. Wednesday.
