Police Blotter
Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
December 12
An impound notice was requested for an Audi left parked at Swan Lake Terrace for more than a week.
At 11:28 a.m. a caller said someone snapped the flag pole and took the flag in front of the American Legion. Officers found the Legion had taken the flag inside because of the wind.
A caller at the Skate Park said a man had his dogs off leash and she was unable to let her dog go in. An officer contacted the man, who said the woman had yelled at him and left. The man received a warning.
A woman said she hadn’t heard from her adult daughter in two weeks. Dispatch called the daughter, who said she was fine and would call her mom.
At 3:36 p.m. a caller said a parked vehicle with its flashers on was blocking traffic at Kashevaroff and HPR. An officer pushed it into a driveway.
At 6:29 p.m. a caller reported hearing several gunshots in the 3700 block of HPR. An officer talked to a man near the golf course who said it was fireworks.
December 13
At 2 a.m. vehicles at the airport and Sealing Cove received parking warnings and citations.
Sitka Police
Travis William Adams, 28, was charged with driving under the influence and misconduct involving a weapon in the fourth degree, Wednesday afternoon.
Charla F. Bernhardt, 34, was charged Wednesday with assault- domestic violence.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at noon, 4:07 p.m. and 7:32 p.m. Wednesday.
Coast Guard
A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter crew medevacked a 91-year-old Wednesday from Haines to Juneau.
