Call to Action

Dear Editor: During this time of year, we often think about all that we are grateful for and about giving.

We are very grateful for our beautiful earth and all that is given to us, not the least of which is the wonderful air we breathe!

We can also think about our fuel usage this year and how we might offset it.

Sitka Carbon Offset Fund uses donated contributions from travelers and residents to reduce our carbon footprint and fight climate change.

It’s very easy to make a donation! Go to www.sitkacarbonoffset.com.

From converting oil boilers to energy efficient heat pumps that run on Sitka’s renewable, fish-safe hydroelectricity, to planting trees, we can help lower emissions, while investing in our neighbors.

…AND, as we move forward to 2022, let’s keep finding ways to reduce our fuel consumption!
