The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.
December 14
At 12:47 a.m. a caller complained of the noise from apartments on Smith Street. Officers advised the noise makers of the complaint.
At 3:12 a.m. a call came in about a man having a panic attack.
At 5:04 a.m. an older woman was reported outside in the 100 block of Lincoln Street. Officers helped her get to where she wanted to be.
At 10:24 p.m. a person with mental problems was reported in the 1200 block of SMC.
A sexual assault reported to police at 1:25 p.m. is under investigation.
At 2:05 p.m. a citizen was assisted on DeGroff Street.
At 4:13 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Lake Street.
A family fight was reported in the 1800 block of HPR at 5:23 p.m.
A welfare check was requested at Eliason Harbor at 8:13 p.m.
December 15
A welfare check was requested at the Gary Paxton Industrial Park at 3:13 a.m.
At 4:30 a.m. troopers in Bethel asked police to conduct an interview with someone in Sitka.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call Wednesday, and one at 8:20 a.m. today.
At 4:31 p.m. Wednesday an engine was sent to the 1100 block of HPR on a report of a chimney fire. The fire was out when the engine arrived.
At 5:56 p.m. a call came in from Lake Street about a fire, which turned out to be burned food.
