Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

December 16

At 1 a.m. a husband and wife were reported having a dispute in the 1300 block of SMC.

A man turned in an android phone found at Sandy Beach.

At 11:10 a.m. TSA asked for an officer to verify 50 rounds of ammunition. An officer did so.

A caller complained a neighbor keeps putting snow in the caller’s yard. An officer spoke to both parties, and the neighbor was told to desist.

At 2:56 p.m. a foot patrol near the library was logged.

At 4:12 p.m. a caller in the 1200 block of Edgecumbe Drive said a package with no address had been left in the driveway. The box was found to contain deer bones.

At 4;52 p.m. an intoxicated man was reported walking in the roadway at Smith Street and SMC. Officers found he was able to care for himself.

At 9:35 p.m. a bartender reported a man was making a scene and had done so before.

At 11:16 p.m. a driver was reported passed out in a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Lincoln Street. Officers found the driver was sober but did have a revoked license.

December 17

At 1:54 a.m. two people were reported having a civil dispute over property that the man wanted returned. Officers spoke to the two.

At 6:45 a.m. a caller said a woman wanted a welfare check on her son. Officers were advised.

 

Sitka Police

Rodney Brevick, 34, was charged early Thursday morning with assault in the fourth degree and resisting or interfering with an arrest.

Laila Brevick, 34, was charged early Thursday morning with two counts of assault in the third degree and resisting or interfering with an arrest.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Thursday.
