Quilt Raffle
Dear Editor: Sitka Cancer Survivor Society quilt raffle ticket winners have been named.
On Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Elks Lodge we had the drawing for our three prizes for this year.
First place was John Weitkamp. He chose the “Christmas Wreath” quilt, which was made and donated by Ocean Wave Quilt Guild members and quilted by Alice Cameron.
Second place was Dan Spackman and he chose the “Moccasins” to fit the winner, made and donated by Linda Janecek.
Third place winner Linda Williams was awarded the “Life is a Basket of Cherries” quilt made by Cheryl Vastola and donated by Kari Fish.
Congratulations to the winners, and we thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket and who support us every year. Every donation helps us to give out our mini grants to help those dealing with cancer here in Sitka.
