    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
December 17
    A bus driver reported a van driver passed the bus while its lights were flashing, at 7:50 a.m. Officers gave the van driver a warning.
    The dispatcher found out who left a phone in a taxi over the weekend, and contacted a relative of the owner.
    A harbor staff member asked police at 11:15 a.m. to stand by while he contacted a harbor resident who had had an encounter with another harbor dweller. The resident refused to come to the door and turned up his music. Police were unable to give him a disorderly conduct warning but he will be arrested if he continues to try to start fights with people, the officer said.
    At 3:45 p.m. a caller said a man was yelling at people and waving his arms, frightening those nearby. Officers tried to pursuade him to seek medical help, but he declined. He was advised he would be arrested if he continued to frighten people.
    At 7:40 p.m. a caller asked for an officer’s help with a man refusing to leave the hospital when asked. When police arrived, the man left the hospital with his mother.
    At 7:50 p.m. a man dressed in black was reported asleep in front of an office building, holding an empty bottle of liquor. Police checked on the man, who was able to care for himself and went on his way.
    At 8:10 p.m. police were asked for help with an intoxicated tenant causing problems with other renters. Police talked to the tenant, who had calmed down, and told the landlord to call if he caused further problems.
    At 9 p.m. a 911 caller yelled obscenities at the dispatcher. Police told the caller not to call 911 unless it was an emergency, and issued a disorderly conduct warning.
December 18
    At 2 a.m. a caller asked for police help when his intoxicated roommate would not stop bothering him, and their interaction became physical.
       
Sitka Police
    Tracee J. Harrington, 39, was cited Tuesday for driving with a revoked license, and given a warning for having an expired registration.
    Jay Fethke, 51, was charged early this morning with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
