The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

December 16

At 9:18 a.m. a caller reported the roadway was icy at Shotgun Alley and SMC.

At 10:04 a.m. a vehicle was reported to have slid off the road in the 2100 block of SMC, damaging a shed but causing no injuries.

At 8:24 p.m. drug paraphernalia was reported found in a room on Biorka Street.

At 9:30 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Gavan Street.

Criminal mischief was reported at a business on Katlian Street at 11:54 p.m.

December 17

At 3:02 a.m. a caller complained of noise on Kiksadi Court.

At 3:31 a.m. a vehicle ran into an apartment building on Spruce Street, causing damage. Police are investigating.

At 11:45 a.m. a fire was reported in the men’s toilet at Moller ball field. Police and fire personnel put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

At 12:29 p.m. a disturbance was reported at Baranof and Biorka streets.

Property found at Lance Drive and Vitskari Street was turned in.

At 8:25 p.m. property found at Sitka High was turned in.

At 11 p.m. a caller complained about noise on
Vitskari Street.

December 18

At 12:07 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the 1700 block of HPR. Police issued a verbal warning.

At 9:42 a.m. about 20 pallets were reported dropped off at the shooting range.

An unattended death was reported at 1:46 p.m.

A report of a person making suicidal comments is being investigated.

At 9 p.m. two minor were reported to have run away from home. Police are investigating.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department on Friday received four ambulance calls and a fire report – at 2:59 p.m. at Eliason Harbor the engine of a van was smoking. Firefighters hosed off the engine to cool it down.

On Saturday, two ambulance calls came in, and a fire call – at 11:47 a.m. a garbage was found to be on fire at the Moller ball field men’s toilet.

On Sunday, two ambulance calls came in.
