Sitka Police

    The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
Dec. 19
    A man in pain from a rib fracture a week ago asked for an ambulance.
    A caller said a snack machine at the courthouse had been tampered with. Police saw pry marks, but they were old. It appeared the machine had not been closed properly, police said.
    At 10 a.m. a caller said a man was driving an unsafe vehicle in an erratic manner on Cascade Creek Road. Officers could hear the caller’s wife arguing with the driver. The driver left before officers arrived and the caller was advised of his options.
    At 11:29 a.m. a caller said a driver had passed a Head Start bus while its lights were flashing, on Marine Street.
    About 110 gallons of heating fuel was reported stolen from the 400 block of Monastery Street.
    A man asked for court-ordered civil assistance from officers to pick up his personal belongings.
Dec. 20
    At 1:16 a.m. a man asked an officer to check on his wife who was refusing to call him back after an incident a few days ago. He said he was fairly sure he knew where she was and had no reason to think there was anything wrong.

    Sitka Police
    Sean S. Brown, 53, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of violating conditions of release.
    David R. Evenson, 40, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of violating a domestic violence order and conditions of release.

    Emergency Calls

    Sitka Fire Department dispatched an ambulance at 10:18 a.m. today.
