Sitka Kitch Thanks
Dear Editor: As 2021 comes to a close, the Sitka Kitch expresses its gratitude to everybody who engaged with the Kitch this year, as an instructor, a student, a partner, a supporter, or all of the above.
Together, we enjoyed some wonderful classes – from learning to make Lo Mein to whipping up some rich Zuppa Toscana for these cold winter months – and built community and skills through food. We also shared a fantastic meal courtesy of Beak Restaurant at our take-home Indian food dinner fundraiser in May. And we did all of it while keeping our community safe.
Thanks to everyone for sticking with us through virtual and outdoor classes. We’re looking forward to more chances to connect in the new year, both virtually and in person. If you have ideas for classes you would like to take – or teach! – please email us at sitkakitch@sitkawild.org.
