Acts of Kindness
Dear Editor:As we approach the end of the year the Sitka Homeless Coalition is reflecting on the kindness of our local supporters. We would like to thank these businesses and organizations for their financial contributions: ALPS Federal Credit Union, First Bank, St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, United Methodist Church of Sitka, Sitka White Elephant Shop, Beak Restaurant, Rotary Club of Sitka, Sitka Tribe of Alaska Social Services, Harry Race Pharmacy, Sitka Community Hospital Auxiliary, Sitka Legacy Foundation, and the City and Borough of Sitka.
In addition, McDonald’s of Sitka is regularly donating copious amounts of fresh coffee for our shower and laundry customers.
As we work to assist our neighbors in need it is gratifying to have the help of so many Sitkans. Thank you, all.

Thank You from SAFV
Dear Editor: We are writing at this time to thank all individuals and businesses who have donated in so many ways to make the holidays for SAFV’s residents beautiful and memorable. We were particularly moved by a cash donation from students at Blatchley Middle School and a very substantial donation of non-perishable food items collected in every Keet Gooshi Heen classroom.
Besides these special holiday gifts, we receive general contributions throughout the year, too many to name here. We live in a very generous community, and all of us appreciate that we can participate in this abundance. Thank you and Gunal’cheesh for all the support we receive from the community.
May your holidays be happy and free of violence. If you need to talk to someone, you can call SAFV anytime at 747-3370.
