The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

December 27

At 11 a.m. a man was reported missing in the area of Darrin Drive. He was later located.

At 11:32 a.m. a caller reported someone was illegally cutting wood on federal land near the Harbor Mountain bypass and Kramer Avenue. The woodcutters were gone when police arrived.

A woman on Edgecumbe Drive reported a locked case was broken open and a handgun taken.

At 12:20 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Burkhart Drive.

At 1:56 p.m. police assisted the adult probation officer in a case.

At 2:17 p.m. police assisted the court in dealing with someone who had become unruly.

At 3:06 p.m. a welfare check was requested in the 800 block of HPR.

December 28

At 1:44 a.m. an animal problem was reported in the 700 block of  A Street.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received five ambulance calls Tuesday.

 

Sitka Police

Andrew Hoiland, 44, was charged Tuesday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
