Police Blotter
Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
December 28
At 12:08 a.m. officers did a foot patrol near Centennial Hall.
At 9:07 a.m. a woman asked to speak to an officer about her ex, who was posting about her on social media. The officer determined no crime had been committed.
At 9:53 a.m. Public Works said a vehicle was parked on top of a waterline that needed repair, in the 1700 block of HPR. Police got the vehicle moved.
At 1:37 p.m. a parked vehicle was reported hindering traffic in the 500 block of Monastery Street.
A caller on Price Street reported receiving harassing phone calls.
At 6:03 p.m. fireworks were reported going off in the 2400 block of HPR.
At 11:25 p.m. police noted that the license plates of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of SMC were unreadable.
December 29
At 12:28 a.m. an officer who lives in the 4700 block of HPR reported hearing gunshots. Police searched but didn’t find anything awry.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 9:59 a.m., 12:26 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10:32 p.m. Tuesday.

Cipriano Guerrero, 45, was charged early today with driving under the influence.
